This quartet plays with a unique blend of drama, warmth and humor, combining four distinct musical personalities to bring fresh insights to the string quartet literature. They have received awards from the Gramophone magazine for their Bartók and Beethoven recordings and in 2005 they won both the Disc of the Year and Chamber Music Awards from BBC Music Magazine for their late Beethoven quartets recording.
