Originally members of the famed Concentus Musicus Wien, these four players decided in 1987 to form a quartet that would play on historical instruments. They are recognized as the leading exponents of the central European classical repertoire and the ultimate objective of each interpretation is to reveal the inner spiritual wealth of the music. Their concerts sell out in such major venues as Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, and the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, and we are pleased to have them back in Vancouver following their warmly received first concert for us in 2009.
